After his residency, Dr. Chao specialized in general surgery and became the Chief Resident, General Surgery at The St. Mary’s Hospital – Yale University School of Medicine. After that, Dr. Chao decided to focus his efforts on plastic and cosmetic surgery attending a Plastic Surgery Residency at The University of Texas at San Antonio, TX and then a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
